The SI
Application Launcher allows direct access to such tools
as the SI Classic main
menu; SI Windows,
which allows executives quick point and click access to management
data; the SI Browser Tools,
which allow access to select company data via a firewall, such as
job data, PO information, etc.; and the SI eDocs,
a complete set of documentation in HTML format.

SI Classic
The Accounting
Modules utilize the advanced features of the Progress 4GL database
language to provide an interactive environment for the entire accounting
system. Information entered by any user, in any part of the accounting
system, such as accounts payable and payroll, flows to other areas,
such as general ledger and job cost. This integration allows the
user to handle original input documents, such as invoice payable
and time cards, only once. With a single posting of such input documents,
all accounting is done - general ledger, and job cost included.
This integrated "real time" feature provides management with a powerful
tool to oversee the financial condition of the company as a whole, or the profitability
of any specific job. Each module provides a variety of standard management reports,
and the database can be queried for custom reports as well.

Windows
SI
Windows is a full Windows interface to your current system. It
allows anyone in the company who is set up with the system to have
Windows point and click easy access to data. Performing tasks such
as running reports, downloading data to Microsoft products such
as Excel, etc. is a click away. Repetitive tasks can be set up
on your individual icon task bar, such as job cost or financial
reports you run on a regular basis. SI Windows comes
with an easy to use report writer, which allows you to structure
your own custom reports. All reports can be emailed to one another
in the company or sent out in CSV and/or HTML format for greater
flexibility. SI Windows is simply added to your
current system along with a Progress client license on each PC
that wants to run the system. That's it! |

Browser Tool
The
SI Browser Tool represents the state of the art in GUI access of the
SI Progress database via the web and fully web-enable the SI Software.
Your company can use the SI Browser Tool to allow access via the web
to live company data in an easy point-and-click manner for all
your management. Furthermore, you can offer it to your key customers
to give them select data on the work you perform for them, thus
increasing the ties between you and your customer. Our customers
are finding that many major corporations are requiring access to
the work with you via the web. You can now offer that, and your
competition can't.
The SI Browser Tool allows your company to securely access selected accounting data from anywhere in the
world. We provide your group with a web server to "look at" your live company information. You can then make select data, needed to perform their jobs better, available for your project managers
for job information, related purchase orders, and other select financial information, etc. Company owners and managers may stay on top of the company with a few clicks.
Many of our
customers desire their service order work tickets to be available on the web for certain
corporate clients. You can attach digital photos of the service work, inspection forms, and any other computer documents to the service tickets. These may then be viewed by your clients and your own employees, via your SI Browser Tool system.
If you need different information presented, you may tell the SI Technical
Group what data you want available through the browser, and we design your browsing to your
specifications. The system functions in a point and click fashion - thus it is
very easy to use for both your management and your clients. You may also do "data mining" as you select which data tables and fields to report, including saving your query definition for repeated use.
Each category of person
who accesses the accounting server data is restricted by you to the data they are allowed
to view.
In summary , the SI Browser Tool is a powerful, secure tool, which will benefit
your company, your clients and your bottom line. You don't have to run and
distribute paper reports. Data retrieved by the browser tool may be sent directly to your favorite spread sheet program. Your clients may be allowed to have instant access to the status and completion
